Photographer's Note
This was taken oppposite the Royal Palace, there were around 12 kids taking turns jumping off this man made pltform especially for these kids. I guess this is much better than turning themselves to petty theft on any given day.
I just felt that these kids just had a whlae of a time, not a care in the world, not knowing what other kids do in other countries, but just having fun, thats what makes me happy.
I showed this picture to my students and they couldnt believe how dirty the water was and only 2 out of 100 would actually give this a go!!.
I had a lot of strange stares approaching the waters but I guess you would get stared at if you ahve a big camera and whitish skin
I hope you like the shot

Hi Dan. Good framing for this vivid shot, where the kid is nicely frozen in action as he seems to be hovering above the water. The overall brownish color tones are quite nice.

Hi Dan
There was a similar shot to this in the last day or 2 (Henk?) A superb daily life shot. A good decisive moment. Well done!

Hi Dan;
How was your trip to Cambodia? I hope you had as good a time as I did. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there- and am contemplating making another trip back for more photos...
I don't recall seeing the Royal Palace while I was ther... now wondering what I missed. I spent majority of my time in and around the temples, very little in or around town, and none at the lake.
Great capture you've taken here, really capturing the action. Interesting form this young boy has, I be curious to see what angle he hit the water... (ouch!) hahaha...
Cheers Dan!

Hi Dan.
A big jump, and a good shot of that jump. Is simple, but at time is very good. A little more sharpness? May be, but he's jumping and cannot be easy.
Perhaps are not necessary more words.

Always a challenge to freeze such actions and you got him with a good pose, we can already hear the splash in this immens water.

Hi Daniel, missed a lot of your recents. This one is beautifully timed, maybe slightly soft, but so what with a compo like that.

Hi Kenny:
It's been a long time. After a year and a half away from TrekEarth I am back. Your photographic skills have really emproved, and this shot is incredible. It was great to be young, and this young man appears to be living life to it's fullest. When I was his age, I would have given it a go. In fact, I did a few times!
Well composed and very well taken!
