Photographer's Note
It is commonly seen in Phnom Penh that people do not obey the traffic rules while driving as you can see here. It is very crowded in Phnom Penh. The number of cars is increasing from day to day so as the motocyles. This street in the picture is also very crowded, but I was waiting for the right time to take this picture. I waited for like 10-20 mns for the area to be cleared of people. And here it is.

LOL... yeah, I have to say. I'm not sure why they paint arrows on the roads in Phnom Penh. Suggestions, I guess. Very illustrative of what people will really see once they have a look at PP traffic. Funny to see here. A little scary when you're wading into a busy intersection where there are no real rules. Great point of view to explain the situation.

It looks like the guy on the back does not want to be recognized. It is a funny picture but at the same time quite sad to see people putting themselves and others at risk. Your POV is excellent as it captures the action and tells the story by itself. Well done.

Hi Sothy,
The Phnom Penh is traffic is something unique and is seen to be believed. Your wait was well worth it. Well chosen POV with good use of the road signs.

Hi Sothy,
Here a scene which one cannot see in all the countries and fortunately… I am astonished with each one of my visits of few accidents which there are in this disordered circulation and especially in Phnom Penh.
Your point of view enabled you to draw something from original of this situation.
On the level of the colors, I do not find that enough to contrast, I thus tested a workshop in black and white to make bring out the asperities of the road and give more power to the unit.
What do you think about WS?

Philippe

Hi Sothy,
I rented a 250cc Honda when in Phnom Penh last month... the driving there is unseen!!! But i managed well! Funny picture here, simple but telling how much rules are followed there!
Good POV, framing and idea!

Hi Sothy,
Well worth the wait .. wonderfully composed .. it is such an immediately striking scene . is their traffic enforcement of any type or are they just to overwhelmed to be functional.
take care,
John

Hello Sothy,
Great shot, like your earlier one where the flow of traffic is completely at random. But then, in many countries, it seems, traffic laws are "suggestions." Great shot — simple, and yet with wonderful social commentary.
Warm regards,
Bulent

Hi Sothy
Good timing and capture of the motorbike driver, the shadow of the passenger, from a perfect POV, driving on the wrong side of the road. You've handled well the strong light and good you avoided the cars and bikes in your framing.
Cheers

Hi Sothy,
Interesting graphically and hilarious, not only for the disrespect of traffic rules but also because of the funny 'hat' of the passenger.
Very well seen.
Regrads, José.

I had to bribe a policeman in Phnom Penh because he told me that I was not driving well, I ask myself a few questions when I see this... Nice catch...

I always enjoy pictures of drivers not heeding the signs...lol, and this one is really good.
I like how they're right on the line, but both arrows are still pointing in the wrong direction.
