(I'm reposting a larger image of this. everything else is identical)
Five years ago this area was all farmland. In the background are some spectacular Vegas-style government buildings. The joke is that they are supposed to be imitations of Japanese buildings: since the Japanese are working all night the buildings will stay brightly lit. The Chinese imitate this by putting lights on the outside of the buildings. I heard this from a Luoyang resident.

I tried using the camera's night scene mode, but it was overexposing, I set the shutter speed manually instead.

I think the crop is great for this shot. I really like how all the lights move out from the center of the picture. Nice work.
