Photographer's Note

Peaking at 6,032m above sea level, Chenresig is the tallest of the three Tibetan sacred mountains of the Yading park, in S-W Sichuan. Here it is seen from the Milk Lake, which itself is at an altitude of approximately 5,000. This is perhaps the most beautiful and breathtaking spot I have ever been to so far. We see here only a small portion of the total view, where everywhere one looks there is exquisite Nature on a grandiose scale. From Milk Lake can also be seen the peak of Jambeyang (5,958m), only slightly further away than Chenresig, and Chanadorje (also 5,958m), a little further in the distance. There are also glaciers, waterfalls, and turquoise lakes... It really is a special place.
