Photographer's Note
Another picture from the Beijing summer palace. This is from across the lake in front of the palace.
Just like the last one I did some tone curve editing to highlight certain aspects. I won't go into specifics but the point was to increase contrast between tree stems and background and to highlight green and make light green more hazy.
I am usually not a fan of this type of "empty" picture, but I think this one really conveys the atmosphere of the summer palace. It would have been cleaner without the people but I didn't bother cloning them out for two reasons: I don't know how to and I think it's not really appropriate to do so. If anyone cares to do a workshop explaining the procedures of cloning I would be interested.

Very surprising view for me (unfortunately I do not travel enough) as I would not have imagine such a lane near this palace. I thought it was in the very heart of the city and surrounded by buildings.
This seems to be a quiet place. I agree with you regarding the people, do not take them off, it brings some life in the pic.

Le temps na pas était votre allié ce jour pour la luminosité et malgré ça vous nous présenté une photo bien jolie avec une allée bien cadrée sur les 34 de la base. Bien vu
Les différentes variations de verts donne un beau contraste ŕ cette photo.

Wonderful street planted with trees on both sides of promenade. The grass makes a good balance of green to the crowns. The way is oriented well to the center of the pic. Very good shot Simon.
