Photographer's Note
This is not far from Tiananmen and the forbidden city, close to the concert hall. We took a walk towards Hepingmen to buy some souvenirs and maybe 10 minutes on our way, not far at all from all the fancy buildings and streets we walked by this place. I think it shows that Beijing is a city with an incredible growth pace, rebuilding and constructing everywhere all the time, and some parts are just left behind. Since this is taken one year ago, there might as well be a fancy hotel or bank here now.
The picture is just a simple point and shoot, I was in a hurry because I didn't know how long the old woman would stand there.
I've added some contrast, decreased blue a little and sharpened.

Image assez triste des ruines de Tienanmen. Pour cette femme moi je trouve quelle fait vivre cette photo et cette ville détruite par son histoire. Le vert des arbres donne aussi de la gaîté au cliché .Bel pensée Simon

Interesting and reflective note. I really like photos that show a different side to places, well done.
