Glass Bridge, a photo from Guangxi, South

Photographer's Note

Built entirely of glass (and crystal glass at that, I was informed), this beautiful bridge gracing Rong Hu Lake leads to the very small island on the left. After dark it is illuminated in continually varying colours but I prefer its daylight appearance. Will upload an image of its interior next.

Hello Neels - Nice to see you back again! The glass bridge looks very elegant and delicate and I wonder who and why it was built? You have captured it under nice light and the area on the RHS backed by the trees is very finely captured. Sadly the featureless sky lets the shot down a little but I like the composition, the reflections are lovely. Warm regards from a very cold Namibia. Rosemary

Hi Neels,
the presentation of the building is superb as its reflections on the calmly waters.The side trees make the image more effective but the disadvantage of the image is the burnt sky.

A scenic and very calm spot well composed and great detail in shadow area. I think you have done your very best in unfavorable light condition. Great use of the river to lead the eye through the spanning bridge and its reflections, good to see some architecture here. You appear to have chosen an excellent POV, love those lush trees as natural framing and restricted the dull sky area at the same time. A wonderful strong contrast and great clarity but the reflections and the curves really add to the image, and the ripples are nice extra, sharp crisp and imaginative image. Great work and effort, Congrats

De kleuren zijn werkelijk mooi om naar te kijken.
Ook het onderwerp dat u gekozen heeft is prachtig.
We krijgen de weerspiegelingen er gratis bij.
Zeer mooi gedaan niettegenstaande de witte hemel.

You have been off air for a while ? Good to see you back on line !
Human kind is strange - a constant desire to be different of to flaunt our abilities, over and above the necessary. I mean, a bridge built our of crystal glass ? Whatever next ?!
Seriously, this is a fascinating view, and note, of this place, one I know absolutely nothing about, so TE gets another point !
Is this level ? It may be, though the angle of the bridge to your line of sight belies the fact.

Hello Neels,
I have never seen a glass bridge before. The effect of walking on it must be interesting. I like the nice reflections, and don't mind the cloudy sky at all; the rain must fall sometimes after all. :-) That bridge must be quite a sight at night when it is illuminated. Thanks for showing us this unique place.

i wish I could see from my own eyes this glass bridge and walk on it ;)
The weather was not really helpful but it is quite a special architecture which is naturally framed in between the trees.
i believe it is also nice to see it when illuminated!

Hi Neels,
in this composition we can see the elegance and the beauty of this bridge of glass, and its beautiful reflections on the water, in a well-select framing.
In spite of the strong and difficult light in the sky, the exposure is balanced, and the colors are natural.

wonderlike, sagte pragtige Chinese paviljoen by die brug. Opknappingswerk wonderlik weerspieël in die kalm waters van 'n rivier. Uitstekend samestelling, pragtige kleure en volmaakte skerpte.
