Photographer's Note
Some fresh stuff today, a picture I took just few hours ago in Mong Kok district, at the street market.
When I saw this guy on the phone I just said WOW to myself....
cropped only the right side to the square format, some minor PS adjustments

He he... wow I guess is the word here.
Perfect timing, and sometimes you just end up in the right place at the right time. The tech is perfect for a street-shot, and the motive tells so many stories. I just use my imagination. Maybe the time has come that people can call the marketsellers and order 2 kgs of onion and have it brought home...?
GOOD!

Haha i see why you said wow, what a great contrast, he's the last person i'd expect to see on a mobile, he was probably checking is stocks. I think i might have cropped out the fruit and the top right, i think leaving the top of the head out works. great shot and well seen.

Wow! Everything came together for you on this one, it's excellent. There's a lot to enjoy in it. The onions and metal bowl are a slight intrusion, but you can't crop without losing the line of his arm.

Very nice shot here, I like the old man with a modern cell phone, it seems like he is in the wrong era, but I like the dof and his expressions

Perfectly captured moment! I can almost here his next words he is about to say..:-) His expressive face with the long beard makes the picture unique! I think that the fruits on right side add just more life and daily life detail to the composition...as well as show where exactly it has taken place. Very well seen and captured!

It let ones eyes - and mind - say: wow!
On the right place, in the right time, with the right lighting - and having a camera. What could want a photographer more?
Sharp, clear, good colours - for the eyes
His expression, the details - for the mind

I can see why you said "wow", Maciek - this guy probably ranks among the characters I'd least likely expect to see on a mobile phone. The man is a genuinely interesting character, and is nicely framed by his colorful everyday surroundings. Colors, light and sharpness are impeccable. A great piece of street photography, congratulations.

This is great Maciek. I love the very traditional looking man talking on the modern phone, it is a great contrast. I am not a fan of the square format, but that is just my opinion (any Hassy owner will disagree with me for certain). Good shot.

What fun!;-)) This shot is worth millions to a global communications company.
I see your crop lends to the movement of talking on a cell phone. And the moment is very sharp right down to the details in his body hairs. :-)

A very amusing shot! Very good in a technical sense and interesting in terms of message it communicates about the fast-changing life in China (if Hong Kong is China...). Congratulations on your reflex!

Hi maciej! great shot once again! I like the modernity of the phone next to this man seemingly coming from old china. cropping the top of the head does not bother me here! This man seems very nice!

Wonderful shot Maciej, the guy looks great. As usual your focussing is perfect. It would be impossible not to take a shot when you see someone like this. BTW very nice to read your tips on portraits.

Great shot, Maciej. The old man is a wonderful character - with his long white beard and traditional clothes. All he needs is 'Hello Kitty' hanging from his phone! Well seen and framed.

This is a very good capture. Without the explanation one might expect it to be a 'created' shot for a cell phone ad.
You might want to rotate is CCW to straighten your verticals. Perhaps clone out the white object in the upper right.

This is really good Maciek. Good expression and his face is certainly photographable. Why is it that almost all your shots are very sharp. Do you use tripod all the time. Any tip?

Veeery nice shot. the old guy was at first hand a good subject and the mobile call made it much more interesting than a static portrait.
As I already wrote, I think that a flat portrait very seldom makes the shot by itself, This one is standing out of the rest because you caught something else than a face -ie a TRUE expression- plus a very nice compo dividing your square in thirds thanks to the angle that the arm and the head are forming.
To me, much better than your previous close up portraits that didn't convey so much life.
