I think its the longest escalator in the world. could be wrong though.
it goes half way through hong kong island. almost all the way to that hill with Vicoria viewpoint (forgot the name).
for me, even more interesting than the image, is the buildings at the right which indicate the height and location of this escalator.

Nice shot! It can be cropped more symmetrically, but whether it improves the shot is hard to say ;-)

I felt disappointed by the reality - I expected it to be one enormous escalator, but it was just a whole set of normal length ones with walkways between..

Nice try Niva but a few things to comment :
The foreground post is too present and
The first characters are too centered, cropping the bottom of the pic would improve the pic.
Cutting the top of the picture would be another option but there would still remain the post problem.
But still, the left part of the picture is empty and I don't like emptyness unless it is meant. You should have waited for soemone to pass and stand say on the second or third step starting from the bottom.
Maybe also an upper point of view would have been interesting, or even a slow speed + fill in flash shot, you'd have to steady your camera on the head of a post, switch aperture priority to f:16 and wait...

I think that the shot has a very nice perspective and really gives the feeling of a very long escalator...Nice shot...I like the location of the pole in the foreground which gives the scale...
