I took this photo during a horse racing, which I just encountered accidentally. It was a really great coincidence though! I went to the nearby mountains from my workplace (part of Tianshan) and saw a truck full of Kazakh people. They were heading somewhere to the mountains, so I decided to join them. Young and old were trying to find a place to sit there on barrels full of oil, trying to catch up to the railing on the bumpy road. Finally we arrived, and I saw a plateau with a lot of people, at least 2-300 horses, waiting for the winners to arrive. They told me they hold this race only once a year at this place (so lucky isn`t it?), all the people with horses attend the race (at least from the surrounding villages). They ride for 50 kms and then the first will get a price. These people were curiously waiting for the result... The picture was shot in clour, but I wasn`t really satisfied with it, I think this tone suits the topic better. The light conditions are not the best, I could manage to get only this effect... But at least I feel very lucky that I could be part of this special remainder of past...
Any advice is welcome.
