Photographer's Note
Khajuraho temples generally close at sunset. The inner chambers of the temples can only be accessed bare feet and are barely lighted. This is taken just before the sunset when the last rays of the sun touched the rock sculpters one last time for the day, as has been happening for centuries, silent observer of many shutter clicks.

Hello Durba
Would you believe I have an almost identical shot from Khajuraho which I took 17 years back. I’ll post it here sometime, as the scan quality again is pretty bad. Having seen the real thing, I can appreciate the work here. Well done with the DOF, though I feel you can improve the colours a bit. A very abstract feel to the photo which I like. An original from the normal Khajuraho clichés. Good work!
Regards
Angshu
