Photographer's Note
This one signifies the end of the Andaman series as of now..
This sunset was taken from the helipad of the Ship (M.V Nicobar) we were sailing in to Andaman Islands. Generally passengers are not allowed on the helipad but knowing the captain and the chief engineer very well allowed us to visit this beautiful part of the ship.
Journey to Andamans on this ship was an experience which I will relish till the end of life. Starting at the ganges and slowly entering bay of beangal with water turning from brown to deep blue in an instance was an amazing experience.this ship is centrally air conditioned, has a big dining hall and is pretty well maintained.
On seeing the islands we could also see sword fishes and flying ones going along the ship thru the blue waters and the feeling you get is like you are in the middle of nowhere with just pure nature all around you.
I strongly suggest one shud undertake this journey at least once to understand the enjoyment..!!!
enjoy..!!

good one. good sunset. will go miles for that. but r u quitting with ur andaman series bcoz of people getting a bit bored with the waters?? well cant blame them much. coz sometimes seas can offer very linear effect, especially bay of bengal where u dont get those waves. but honestly ur postings on andaman has increased my urge to take a trip to the islands. may be sometimes....

Hi Indro,
This is really wonderful stuff.Photography at her very best.Wonderful soft tone of colours.I am really not a great fan of including the sun in either sunrise/sunset.But this one has forced me to change my mind. The reflection on the ground of the ship is really worthy to see.Great POV and great clarity.
Greetings,

Hi Indro,
Nice sunset in the back of an interesting foreground. The colours are really good. I missed this trip in MV NICOBAR due to shortage of time and I knew what I missed. TFS.

Indranil: a sunset done a little differently - I like your compo here and a great compromise on the light on deck - details are still there. regards, c

Hi Indranil.
"Out over the ocean, and it’s waves it lay,
A magnificent orange sphere,
As it drops to the sea,
With spears descending from within the fire,
The magnificent beauty of the sunset each day.
As the ship rocked side to side,
The sailor's thoughts drifted,
As they sailed into the setting sun.
"I think the sunset is the best time of the
evening," the sailor thought to himself.
A sunset at sea is so beautiful
That it takes your breath away.
You cannot see a sunset like this
Anywhere else.....
ANYWHERE ELSE..... "
Framed well, written well, and who will not love this extravaganza....!!!!

Its beautiful to the core Indranil. The diagonal perspective and the shaodwos of the railings make the shot a fairy tale place to dream of. Excillent cropping form the top and I lkie the semisphee on the dock.
each and every minute detail is important in this shot, thats why its so beautiful.
Its time to get a SLR now.
Your composition is superb , colours speak the language you order them to speak.......whats now needed is a DSLR and that too Immediately.
Well done Brother.
Hugs,
Rajeev
