I took this shot in Ahiritola Ghat.. People come here for different purpose like Puja, Bath, Ferry service, Relaxation etc.. The Ganges is holy river according to Hinduism.. You can see here different types of people from day to night.. For an example You can see many people are taking a bath into Ganga in the morning, at evening you can see this place as a lover point for love birds, at the middle of the day you can see many pilgrims here..
About Ahiritola Ferry Ghat:-
This is one of the more prominent and functional jetties around Calcutta. It remains opens from 5:30 am to 9:00 pm. Launches/motorboats to Bandhaghat, Baghbazar, and Howrah (Railway Station)and other places are available.

Such as life of pilgrim. Awesome documentation of the daily life of people. I like the lighting and it has good dof with nice details. And you were able to capture the colors. Well done, tfs.

you lucked out seeing the fire on the right, thats a cool addition to the overall scene.

Un momento colto con grande naturalezza ed efficacio, senza trascurare la nitidezza e la cura del colore.

This is rather unusual to western eyes, Indrasish, yet we saw this type of gathering, but always an intriguing subject.
Fire added much color here, and the flame looks with a silkey texture.
Fine taken the side of the river, with tumult of pilgrims came to its banks.

Hi Indrasish,
I like this scene a lot, the whole feel is of an important historical capture of an important historical place. I feel that we could travel back many years and see this scene almost the same, and that in many years to come the same would apply, but each version carrying its own nuances making each scene from each time special. The flame adds a beautiful bright eye catcher.
