Photographer's Note
This was shoot at 6:30 PM neaby Kamarhati ( North Kolkata )..A place just may be 2 KM far north from Dakshineswar Ghat on the bank of Hooghly River.
This boat was going to the opposite bank.. We were sitting on the cremation Ghat nearby this Jetty Ghat, letting all other things in the world behind us.. gazing at the water..fine moment with a good friend..
I want to dedicate this photograph to her..
Only distracting thing was mosquitoes in our romanticism... Hahahaha !!!

Greeeat job, I like this shot a lot! The grain, the blur, the low light all work for me. Gives a little mystic quality to it and also a relaxed feel, like you just happened to be on the bank when the boat arrived and this is what was going on.

Hi Sandip,
A Nice composition. I guess you did a great thing by making it B&W. But i am not very sure about the blur here. I guess i would have preferred it sharp, bu yes, the grains gives an age old touch to the picture. I like that.
Nice Work.

Hi SAndip I agree wih Clifton and the shot here alot. A very nice one.. Only thing that I find disturbing is the light coming from the other end of the river...

Great shot. I like the way you have converted to B&W. The early evening glow has given this a great feel. Great shot.
BUT, I can think of more romantic spots to kindle romance than a cremation ghat! ;) Good luck.

Hi Sandip,
Very good compo. It reminds me a shot posted by Simon (flydragon). I like the mood and that dust.
The B&W is an excellent choice.
I'd rather crop the bottom to give more space to this boat and the dust.
Bravo!

Very moody photo, Sandip, despite the camera shake. It brings back sweet memories for me, my time at Hooghly's bank with my wife who I was courting then nearly thirty years ago. Yes, mosquitos could be a menace but very interestingly in those days they were the last object on our mind.

Hi sandip. i am amazed at the quality of the tones and this grainy look. DId you do any PP? In any case, you quite efficiently bring the mood of old photographs.
