In the artists' studio where the elaborate process of idol making is taking place. Work is underway now and gearing up for the big Puja season in October, when the city will be crowded with its people and visitors.

Hi Arnab,
Your experimental shot has come up nicely. The placing of right hand against Ma Durga in background. The choice of BW also an added beauty in this picture. I always appreciate experimentation in photography.

Hi Arnab, I am afraid for a person like me, who's been super saturated with images from this place in Calcutta, this doesn't quite work for me. It's just way too common. I know it's the most difficult place in Calcutta to get a decent photograph, and it happens to be the most visited place by photographers. Please don't get me wrong here, this is just a very common frame from Kumartuli. I think you have a new camera now, is it? Congratulations!

I like it Arnab da. The single hand standing out from the blurred background. May be we need some more of those hands!! I like it because I know you are experimenting with your new camera and this one comes out perfectly well. The depth is wonderful. Looking forward to see coloured ones from 400D.

For me this works well...in fact very well. The hand in the FG almost a closed fist against the blurred BG. An innovative POV & a very creative work. Do I see a patch of colour on the left? How do find your new camera? Photographs are creations from the mind, but I guess a good instrument is necessary to implement it as well.

Hi Arnab,
I like this shot. The background is blurred, but one can still make out the goddess, the hand in the foreground makes a strong statement.
