The Hand, a photo from Delhi, North

Photographer's Note

Here you see a hand of an old lady in a "mudra" while she watches a kid play. The hand was in mudra(yoga posture) and the lady was very still as if she was meditating. I noticed the contrast in the movement of small kid who was learning to walk against someone who has seen the world and yet so stable.

Hi Ajay,

I am very interested by this photograph, I like the way there are three parralel bars in the background that have contrasted well with the blurred background. For me this photograph has a sense of imprisonment the boy seems trapped by the bars in front of him and the woman standing behind him, her hand gesture is like a sight hole through a prison door. The photograph works really... your work fasinates me and I look forward to seeing more of your work!

A well thought of photograph...the posture of her hand against bright light outside the window. This would IMO look even better in B&W..A well done original picture.
