Photographer's Note

As the title says, this shot was taken inside Humayun's Tomb in Delhi. Humayun's Tomb, completed in 1571, is one of the finest examples of Mughal architecture in Asia. The Persian architect, Mirak Mirza Ghiyas, was brought in after his work in Herat (present-day Afghanistan) to build this tomb in Delhi for the second Mughal emperor. Here you can see the archways of the inner building, and the latticed windows typical of Mughal architecture.
