Nice to have one more TEian posting images from India and especially from Varanasi
This one is really excellent
I like the attitude and usual posture of the old lady, the contrast of her pink sari with the blue door
I appreciate even more that you included some of her intimacy, with the photography on the wall, maybe her husband
Excellent quality and management of exposure

Hello Helen - There is a lot to enjoy in this portrait. it is not only a good portrait of the lady but the details you have captured of the interior of her home complete the shot with some of her personal effects. These tell us a little more about her. The colours are harmonious and you could not have done better had you placed them together yourself; pinks, blues and naturals repeated in different areas of the frame. A lovely shot. Excellent shot - what is there more to say? The expression of the lady shouting out something like desperatiion indicates there are enough stories she could tell to fill a bookshelve with! Excellent.
