Excellent composition!!! You combine a nice graphism and a fine BW environmental portrait. this is really well done. I only wish you had gotten more of your reflection in as well.

Hi Sandip,
Interesting POV. You force my eyes to look at the barber.

just a great shot.
B&W renders the timeless feel. the strongest part here is the composition, perfect proportions and shadows behind the frosted glass, and you, ofcourse, in the reflection in it. graphic elements are perfectly blended in. your pics are really evolving now. keep going.

great composition, great 1/3rd rule yet again, I think it would have been more interesting if the barber would have not noticed you clicking and rather captured cutting hair. I don't know why I am always attracted towards the old saloon's but never really captured one. keep up the great work!

Pity that I didn't see any of your photographs before sandip. I liked most of them but this one is going to make my day. I tried to fetcha similar composition some time back but it bombed, congratulations for you have done it so very well. I guess i will go back to the place where I tried similar photo and carry a striped glass with me this time :-)) Just a lil' tilted and cut heads, everything else is just so good.

Very interesting treatment Sandip. The choice of black and white really works well in this distinctive composition. You handle the geometry of the scene very well. I like the way your crop the image. Fine work.

This is great. The shadows behind the frosted glass (I assume that it is you as well?) as well the focus third all add up at a great shot. I checked out your folder again today there are some great images. Thanks

That's exactly what I need right now, a haircut!
Very nice one, Sandip, I like it how you can look partly throguh the window, displaying that you don't need to see it all to make the image. And i think you got your own reflection in as well.
It's nice that he looks at you.

Great compo Sandip, nice expression at the right side, good reflection and transparency at the left. Bright and dark are wonderful.

ok so there's no WOW!!!!! coming from me here
the idea is very nice, but there are certain things here that i really don't like at all
1. the toning and the contrast:
i've never really been fond of digital photographs that have been converted into colour. i can only think of simon(flydragon) whose digital conversions are somewhat close to the rendition of a good black and white film. but then again he's a professional and he's been doing this for a long time now.
as far as you're concerned i think you should play around with the contrast a little more. if you can make this a little richer and more contrasty i think it'll make it better. at the moment it's extremely dull. (no offence meant to anyone here)
2. i'm a little confused trying to figure out what the decisive moment is over here. at the moment this looks like a usual touristy photograph in which both barbers are more than happy getting themselves photographed. while the idea is not bad on its own, i think you could have caught something much more interesting here. you don't always have to capture the subjects looking into the camera you know :). ok maybe if the toning was better i wouldn't have had such a grudge against this scene here.
take care

Namaste sandip
A superb choice for b&w with an excellent tonal range. Good sharpness & lighting. I like the 'split screen' effect with the glass window & shades. Well done!

I was looking for your barber shop photos then I find this...a great take. Love how you divide the frame into two parts with the left blocked out with the simple pattern and attract attention to the main subject. I only wish the barber was not looking at you directly. But this is good too. Excellent work. YOu are really talented.
