...I was walking through a lane on the way from my office to home, today morning.. a very good and fresh morning... i saw this poor woman out of her house.. sweeping roadside...

... i opted for Black and White this time..
... a lot of construction woek is going on here in this area of Bangalore.. they used to work for themm. kind of daily wage workers..

this is a beautiful photograph, but unfortunately your processing here is not at all good.. it seems that you've straigtaway converted the photgraph from colour to greyscale and that's about it..
burning and dodging is very important in black and white photography..
this photograph is very strong in content. the body language and expression of the woman form its backbone and so i think you should dodge the lady..
i'll give a quick workshop to try and create an 'atmosphere'
you should look up the works of bangladeshi photographers like shahidul alam
bangladesh is like a huge reservoir of photographic talent.

A good basic composition - I might have gone for putting the woman's head on the third more 'precisely' but it kind of works anyway - I was going to suggest the same as Sohrab - his workshop is exactly what was required!

One can sense your thinking about photography deepening with every shot, Sandip. A lot of maturity here and confidence. The way you use the blocks of space, white stone and black square to "define" your subject is masterly. Bravo, Francis

This is a beautiful b/w image, content looks very powerful in here..
Sohrab's WS is a good one, its nice to see some more details on the lady's face.
