Kabini Reservoir is a large water body situated in the South Indian state of Karnataka. It was formed by construction of a dam across the Kabini river; though it initially caused inundation large tracts of forest, it has now become a perennial source of water for the wildlife of the neighbouring Nagarhole Wildlife sanctuary and helps support many species of fauna and flora unique to the area.
