Very nice work! The flower is beautiful, I really like how you have captured it. However, the background on the upper lefthand corner is distracting.

Hello Krishnendu, beautiful start into TE, I like this flower and I have made a small fastly ws in order to remove the bug to its inside, to my opinion disturbed the perfection of the goblet.

The petals are in fine focus.
This is a datura flower (Solanaceae family, other members include-egg plant, tomato, potato, etc.,).

These flowers are offered to Lord Siva. But, surprisingly, these are not cultivated by man and these plants find shelter on side walks or on uncultivated land.

Hello Krish, You may already know this, but Datura is a very poisonous plant. It can cause mental illnesses and was a "favourite" poison during ancient times.

Interestingly, datura leaves are also used in the treatment of "Mumps". This falls in the realm of traditional medicine.

Though the flower looks beautiful stay away from that plant, even more so if there are small kids in the family.

nice closeup of the dhutura flower. i've been trying to grow some here in my garden but without much success, let's see what happens this spring.
good use of light. good color and detail. i'd like to see a bit more cropping.
