Photographer's Note
For the first time ever, I took the Bombay train today. I have been living here for 3 months now and never had the chance, what with all the taxis available, but I'd always wanted to and today was the day.
Catching it on the go, I jumped into the women's only wagon, but it being Saturday morning meant it was pretty empty compared to the 14+ million riders the trains carry EVERY DAY. I hung outside the open doors, as Mumbaikars do, to catch the breeze and enjoy the view (and smells, but you get used to it). I loved it, can't wait to do it again!

Hi Vale. A good shot of your maiden journey by train in Mumbai with a nice, witty note. Train is the most passenger-friendly transport in a narrow city of Mumbai. It is by chance that you found this almost empty, but you may venture out in an working day in peak hours for a change! A great change in fact. Regards.

Vale,
Nice one here, understanding the spirit of the city...
So much on these trains...People shre their joy, sorrow & anything in their life here...
With swankier Metros in the horizon, I hope these do not fade away.
Cheers,
Prem.
