Photographer's Note
When in Pushkar it is practically compulsory to get a photo of some camels silhouetted against the setting sun.
Here is mine.
Bit of a cliché but it had to be done.

Richard,
This is a very good signature shot for camels in rajasthan. Very good light management and composition.
Thanks, Arnab

the second camel on the left answers you "good night, richard" - have you noticed that? nice rajasthan camels can speak if they want; great shot with marvellous sun; flare does not disturb much

Nice pic. Rich! The lens flare right in the centre is beautiful..

Very nice shot Richard. I like the lens flare in this shot, it somehow adds to the mood. Lovely colours in the sky as well. I think i might be tempted to crop away the heads from the right and maybe even the distant camel standing facing directly towards us, just leaving whole camels.

A nice image Richard, but as you know I am a big fan of Puskar. I am a bit bothered by the flare here..I might try a ws, but I am not good at PS..
As you said, every body has to post a silhouette against the sun from Pushkar... And I did...

Votre gestion des lumičres et de la compositon de l'image est parfaite Richard!
Dommage pour le gros coup de flare au milieu de la photo!
Bon travail!

A cliche but a nice one. The dusty light, clear silhouettes and I love the one with his neck stretched and an open mouth. I tried to drag a camel up some sand dunes for a photo like this but he wasn't having any of it (LaLa featured in my portfolio) Definitly easier when they're already up there!

Very nice coloring and light managing even with the reflection of the sun in the lens and a nice gabarit of camels in counterlight making this compo a great still.

this is really nice richard
i love the camel sihouettes
im seding below a link to perhaps the best camel sihouette ive seen at the pushkar fair (this is what comes to my mind at the moment)
i wonder if you've seen this
your photograph is really nice too, but it kind of lacks the chaos and the congestion in the photograph in the link above
take care :)

Great shot. Perfect light and color, and the sillouettes make really interesting shapes. I think though I would have tried to edit out that glare. But still well done,
Dave
