Photographer's Note

The Backwaters are a network of navigable channels almost in its entirety and that are in Kerala's state, to the south of the India. We speak of between 800 and 900 kms about channels that follow a parallel path along the oriental coast.

Many of them wind land in reporting little village on the banks of the channel through that they live of the fishing, the elaboration of the "coir" (fiber of coconut), the production of ships and also of the agriculture, among other things.

From Alleppey, it is one of the best places to choose that we want to do route for the channels depending on the time that we have to dedicate them, I advise the option that I realized to sail in a "Kettuvallam" or houseboats. They are a few barges that have double rooms. In the price they include the food, the dinner and this is the breakfast to sail the whole day along the channels, we can see put on the Sun, something impressive, sleep in the ship held up in the shore and listen to thousand rumors of the night, see the channels again with the first light of the morning and in the middle of the morning moor again.
