Photographer's Note

This happened at a place near Baba Mandir (about 13,500 ft) which is a memorial on way to Nathu La from Tsomgo Lake. What actually happened was that, a distinguished minister of the Govt. of India was visiting the Memorial, and the tourist traffic has held up for security reasons. Chilling cold, drizzles and snowfall made the condition worse, as most of the toursit came from the plains and were not used to staying at high altitudes and freezing cold weather for long time.
Nevertheless, the traffic lined up across a narrow bridge on a half-frozen stream. The military was in charge of the traffic. The tourists had their own way of enjoying despite the delay: some of them went down, started playing , throwing snowballs, some even climbed up the adjacent slopes.

Tech: Scanned from print, noise not reduced.
