7 km along the southern shore from the head of the Pang-gong Tso lake, Spangmik at 13800ft is the farthest point to which foreigners are permitted. Special permits might have to be sought for treks..
Icy glaciers and snowcapped peaks of the Changchenmo range surround it.The sapphire blue waters of the lake reflect the tall mountains ranges that surround it, its shimmering waters throwing up kaleidoscopic images of ever-changing blues and greens.
Spangmik and a scattering of other tiny settlements along the lake's southern shore are home to the nomadic Chang-pas tribes of Tibet and southeast who earn their livelihood by breeding yaks and pashmina goats and cultivating sparse crops of barley and peas in summer..

A daily life scene that I of course hope to attend !
Natural shot of a single instant
I wonder how it was in colors?
Best to you

I would knee hoping that with lower POV I'd include the ram in the pic and somehow enlarge the man who seems the owner of the space around but somehow he's too small for his possession instead of what we watch not-so-significant elements as boxed houses in a distance, empty, stony field..
The close -up as I feel, would bring the power to this portrait not missing the sheltering sky which plays important role showing the universe which a human being is only a small element..

reading your note so full of colors made me want to see the color version. Still, I think this b&w is pretty good. Fascinating daily life from the mountains. It seems tilted and strangely truncated at the bottom but who cares...Love the timming and the landscape is gorgeous, together with that sky, it makes an appealing image to me.

Well I find it very disrespectful that a splendid post like this is still underrated. Well I am not complaining of folks its my personal opinion. The b&w treatment made this picture timeless. Its like I am seeing some documentary on NatGeo. The angle in which you have framed and the background mountains are really appreciating.
Salute!! This goes in my favorites.

mmmh... did you trip over a stone while shooting? :)
why the slanted horizon and the halved goat (poor thing)?
I can get over the mountains sliding off to the right, but the goat... makes the shot look a bit like you were in a hurry, you know what I mean?

Why in B&W, Sayeed? Yes, it gives a timeless feel no doubt, but...
Is the tilt intentional?..or is it because you hurried into the shot. Tilt does not add anything to the shot IMHO, but then it cuts the goat off in the FG. But the wind weathered face of the shepherd, the goats under his arms...the moment you captured is timeless!
Fine work bro!

Angshu

Could have been stunnin, my friend, except for 2 things already commented, I believe:
1. bottom crop - goat, men's feet would have completed the image.
2. perhaps a tighter POV to the man - I would love to have seen him towering the left side of the picture, but with the perspective which, imho, adds tremendously to the effect and power of the photo.
Otherwise, quite good.
