Photographer's Note
This gate, facing north, is one of the five remaining, in the defences of Anhilwar Patan. Its bastions appear in good condition, forming an integral part of the 1.28 kilometres of fortifications still extant, probably dating to the 15th century and the reign of Sultan Ahmad I. Anhilwar Patan is located to the northwest of present-day Patan. There is a small shop across the road catering to local traffic. (Alternate spelling - Aagharo)
