About Kathakali:-
Popular belief is that kathakali is emerged from "Krishnanattam", the dance drama on the life and activities of Lord Krishna created by Sri Manavedan Raja, the Zamorin of Calicut (1585-1658 AD). Once Kottarakkara Thampuran, the Raja of Kottarakkara who was attracted by Krishnanattam requested the Zamorin for the loan of a troupe of performers. Due to the political rivalry between the two, Zamorin did not allow this. So Kottarakkara Thampuran created another art form called Ramanattam which was later transformed into Aattakatha. Krishnanaattam was written in Sanskrit, and Ramanattam was in Malayalam. By the end of 17th century, Attakatha was presented to the world with the title 'Kathakali'.

You have caught him in a very candid mood, Indrasish. He seems to be preparing for the dance.
The black background enhances the beauty of the shot, and helps in focusing mine eyes on the colored cheeks.
The shot is on the darker side.

Your gallery is always full of pleasant surprises, architecture, wildlife, people. This is a wonderful portrait and you have captured the creation of this craft under such perfect and moody lighting. A bett angle could not be chose to create this magical scene. Really nicely done.

ho sempre sostenuto e l'ho affermato in piů occasioni che tu sei bravissimo nel ritratto e questa bella foto ne č una ulteriore conferma.
Eccellente per il soggetto e per la gestione della luce che lo illumina, supportata da una bella composizione nella quale anche il colore ha una importanza predominante.

Very nice portrait...bright color on the face is an effet of good exposure control.
This artist must be very busy to complete his makeover for the dance..hence no look on you while capturing the same...

Amazing portrait!Just love the way you used the light here.It creates not only so unique,kind of intime atmosphere of the scene,but it helps also to saturate and depict the colors much more warm and pleasant.
