Photographer's Note
This photo was taken in Hardiwar as a Sadhu makes his way down to Ganges. I was going to leave this black and white, but felt it looked better highlighting the subject with his bright colours .

Manaste Darren,
I like this photo in B&W with this Saddhu and his bright colors. It looks like half old and new photo. I have good souvenirs in Haridwar and I like to see photo of thisplace. Thank you.

Very nice selective desaturation to emphasize both the foreground element and the background elements. I see your point very well, if this were in color (or in pure black and white), both would be lost to each other. The off center positioning of the foreground element works to give more role to the background in this story telling photograph.

Hi Darren
Fine this grainy combi B&W color, slight sepia was also an option, had done such a WS some week ago and so it is pleasant to see this technique, certainly it puts all spot on the yellow as eyepuller to this Sadhu, well done, generally seeing ur gallery I got the impression that the sigma reholds you a bit from sharpness, knowing the 300D can be raisor sharp.

I like the touch of light with the orange... a 'sun saddhu'! good contrast with black&white city life...
