This photo was taken on the way up to rohtang pass. Landslides are a common occurance on this road, with these people day and night working to keep the traffic moving. They have little to no tools and do the best they can with just their hands.

I'm surprised this hasn't attracted any critiques, Darren, as this is a very good daily life shot. Your timing was spot-on, to capture the rock being thrown, and you have composed it well to include the vehicles waiting up the road for the repairs to be completed. Looking at the water still trickling down the mountainside, I wouldn't feel too safe about driving over this even when the rocks have been laid over the surface. The underlying soil still looks mighty unstable! Cheers . . . David
