Photographer's Note
at a construction site near my office... those guys are from a different state of India.. Probably from Orissa, ... they come every year to the cities like Bangalore or Hyderabad for living and this has become a serious concern now for the states from where they are migrating...

Ok but there's something I don't understand in this shot, perhaps this is due to overprocessing OR that is a glass reflexion.. unfrtunately you have not uploaded a note yet (although I'm sure it'll come later - edit : it has come, but I still don't understand the scene).
So the good things are about composition (parts of faces poplauting the upper corners are great), gritty mine or industrial feel and general dark harsh contrast which fits the scene and -probably- your message.
As I wrote, what disturbed me is that it seems you processed the corner faces in order to make them stand out... but in a way they seem on an OTHER focal plane : they're not lighted up evenly compared to other characters. Well, I think that's just a matter of re adjusting your processing and being less drastic.. apart from that, everything is in place for a good image.

I feel a little bit scare to writte about this photo after read your intro page telling what you want and what you dont want from TE members, nevertheless I´ve decided to take my chances: I think it´s a very expressive photo, I dont know about postprocessing, let´s say I feel photos and my feeling here is that there´s a sense of everyday life, but at the same time of unique moment with this blur faces. I appreciate you were so close to them (sorry, I think I mean the POV). Well just an opinion, I give you points because I dont give importances to the points but yes to the smile because it´a a reflection of my faces in front of your photo. Gracias Sandip.

i thought sebastiao salgado when i saw the thumbnail, but was a little disappointed when i saw the full sized photograph
yup your work on the edged out faces makes it seems as if those faces were superimposed here..
also i think maybe if you were just a little away, might have helped..
while this image has the potential to be a pretty good one.. with all the corrections etc..
it still doesn't seem to be one that will be able to express the gravity of the problem of migration..
are you aware of an issue before hand then try and photograph it? or do you take a photograph and then try and make some sense out of it??
take care :)

Hi sandip , interesting shot but not my favorite in your portfolio : a bit too dark to my taste, and maybe waiting a bit would have organized your subjects better in the frame. a good shot though!

Hi Sandip,
I told you that the "number of view and points" ratio for this picture would not be very impressive as it should be. Point is no important for us but you got what you really want....As I was there in the spot I know the difficulties while taking this picture. It was very dark inside and the light from open window making this picture almost impossible, but you still handled that and made this complex composition.

Hello Sandip: I took in what both Luko and Sohrab said and boy, these fellows know a thing or two about processing, etc. But I'll tell you what - The overall image is superb to my way of seeing (the Salgado remark by Sohrab ought to alert you right there...), and I appluad your guts and the sheer effort of putting together an image that is so dark, so complex and yet so committed. So the full green treatment for you I'm afraid...;o)

this is a really cool shot! Yes, I think the faces might have been slightly over processed but besides that I think it is great. Lots of faces nicely arranged in this photo. Grat mood to it. Great job. JP

This pic also taken greatly, the blurred face at the left corner give good balance, only the postures of the bor at the right is not good enough.
However well take.
