Sunset Dance, a photo from Andaman and Nicobar Islands, East

This pic is strainght out of my Andamans file and is of Setting sun in the emerald islands..Taken from Port Blair...

Port Blair is the largest town and a municipal council in Andamans district in the Andaman Islands and the capital of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands union territory of India. It lies on the east coast of South Andaman Island and is the main entry point to the islands.

The town is named for Archibald Blair of the British East India Company, who founded a nearby penal colony in 1789. Port Blair was founded by the British in 1858, the Cellular Jail surviving from this period.
For a time during 1943 and 1944, Port Blair was the headquarters of the Indian National Army government under Subhash Chandra Bose.

Although damaged by the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake, Port Blair survived sufficiently to act as a base for relief efforts in the islands.Known as the Emerald Islands, its a recommended site for tourist, with its lush green forest and the blue of the sea.

In this photograph, I saw the birds flying in an erattic way and they were not in their usual flying pattern which one can see during sunset and also the three vessels in the horizons which were giving the depth....

Hi Indro,
Nicely done.The colours are good and so is the flying birds.Nice capture of the reflection on the sea water.....but as you mentioned in the note I was just wondering where those three vessels are!!Ha,Ha.....they are too far....

Indro, this is really impressive. a signature sunset shot from anywhere around the world looks quite like this, but this is so special with the gulls flying around. the borders of the birds look a bit too sharpened though.
A nice image for the eyes, anyway!

A dreaming picture: the setting sun, the silhouettes of the birds flying towards the horizon, the reflections of light in the water. A good image which let us relax and dream.

The framing of the sun on the lower right and giving importance to the birds to the maximum extent with vivid colors is fantastic.

While the sunset itself is more into the more 'usal' settings the detail with all the seagulls silhoetted against the sky is what makes this a special one. Nice work Indranil

Hi Indranil,

I'm going through your profile and your photographs and stumbled upon this one. Though a slight slight noise around the birds - probably due to sharpening - it is so natural! I really miss that when going over your latest evening and morning posts. The colours are beautiful, but sometimes a slight bit over the top.
This, this is just wonderfully natural!!
