India's first prime minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, was born on November 14. After his death in 1963, his birthday has been celebrated as children's Day in India.I dedicate this shot to the children of the world. Although this post is little late for the occation,but still better late than never.

Hi Subir,

What I especially like here is the vessel in the distance... It gives a whole double meaning to the photograph. Too often whole families drown at open sea with makeshift boats that should not even be on a river, trying to flee their country of origin, on their way to the new world...
Who knows what steps these kids will take to get to the new world.

Thats an amazing interpretation from Jena..5 letters for NEHRU. Its the effect that has been created by this shot..people sink into it..go beyond the compo..you had done well to initiate that perspective..

The kids seem to walk with intent..heads help up..the swelling sea..the lone distant ship

Excellent composition with the reflections on the sea. Beautiful sunset colours, i like in particular the colors of the sea over the sand .

I like this composition. The colours and light are well managed and the textures flow very fluidly. You have a very fine perspective and pov as well and have an overall image that creates impact and is beautiful.
