I hope that his future wife will not react like the bull: as much the men want ... as much the bull don't !

Matthu Pongal, celebration of the cow in Paalamedu, based on the old Tamil tradition where a man tries to prove his courage to his future wife, a Harvest Festival part of the typical identity of Tamil Nadu.

This year 84 persons were slightly injured, only one was really unlucky by getting the hoof of the bull in his face right in front of me. One bull didn't survive because of an accident on the road. The safety was put up to the maximum, they even stopped the game to remove all not selected participants.

I skip Alanganalur today, much toooo crowdy !!!

This is an other amazing India/Tamil Nadu photo with a good note. I like compsition, colors and flying flowers. BTW I'm totally agree with isabela.

Great action photo with a nice colourful background. WHo knows, spanish bull running may have its origins here.
ONe small comment would be to crop off the partial head on the left of the photo.

Powerful composition. The timming and the POV are good, and also I love the movement of the photo.
Of course, without that lens would not be possible take this picture.
