Photographer's Note
Chirag Delhi Flyover-my favorite spot to click pictures. There's such variety here and there's always something happening here. This little fellow, was waltzing around like this and each time his father called him to put on his clothes, he'd run in the opposite direction. This was close to the spot where the mechanics were (the scooter in the background was waiting for repairs).
I found this lil' tyke really cute-he was walking around with such an attitude, like he didn't care a damn about what anybody thought. It was quite a warm day, with a little breeze, so I'm sure he was pretty 'cool' and well air-conditioned. Right behind him (though not in the picture) was his elder brother running to catch up with this one with a pair of shorts.. LOL. it was quite a cute and funny scene.
Tech: resized and added border.

I don't know that part of delhi.. Where is it?
But i do like the image.. So many cute kids in India.
Is it far from south ex, where i bought plenty of Indian music at Planet M?

Nice portrait, again, Smrithi, but why did you post it so small again. Maybe it wasn't possible, but also it would have ben nice to have got the kid's head in front of a slightl less distracting background. Still, nice shot.

Against all ods for once I would vote for a B&W edition of this photo by selecting only the green channels as the clearest and contrast + light tiny bit up.
I like that you bring these little Gods, children of India into the spotlights. Very well choice of subject Smrithi !

An adorable subject in this fun catch, Smrithi. Very good pose of the boy, and interesting surroundings in the back. I think Henk has a point with the b&w, but it doesn't look that bad in color either ;-)

A bit blurry, but a really wonderful composition. The stuff in the background really helps the photo and your communication of this boy and his personality.

Interesting shot from daily life. You are really good in this kind of pictures. The picture is not supersharp and I like it that way here; it ads a lot to the mood.

So according to your title this is a young Jon Bon Jovi. Yeah, I can go along with that - he struts the same way. Let's hope he'll make it big some day. A sweet shot from daily life.

Smrithi, very good documentary picture. I like the colors and the blur enforced the theme of marginalization and poverty.

I was shocked when I first arrived in New Delhi at how "used" the city seems. Buildings had a worn look and street scenes were much like this with a dilapidated car next to a broken building. Your images consistently give us an unvarnished view of the city where you live. You give us everything, not simply the colorful sadhus and brightly colored celebrations. You might wish to create a theme on the Flyover so these images are collected for us to appreciate. This is a wonderful image, made more so by your note. Keep the images coming Smrithi, I love them.

Funny picture! Although I believe it would have been even better with the elder in the frame, running with the shorts :)
The kid's face tells a lot about his attitude you talked about.

One thing I learnt about India from photographers like you and Avi, India is a country of hard colors and strong details. And very graphical too, in showing the multivaried lives existing, even under a flyover.

My first moments in India I spent in Delhi. This is very good photo which show one part of the life in your country. I like the face expression of that boy, look like he don t care for anybody and anything.

Nice daily life shot with a good note. I like the expression of the kid. The good thing to be a kid that don't need to worry about anybody thought. Unfortunately we cannot walk pretty cool like him!!!!

Another good daily life photo of a society I am not used of.
My friends have just visited India, and your images really do bring to life stories that they have told me about the place.

First thing I like here is the photo's grain. The warm colors of the child's skin and ground are perfect to give an old touch to this composition. But the best (of course) is the gait of the kid, seeming self-assured. Good idea to have included the scooter and legs of his father. That is well-illustrating your funny and excellent note about this little fellow. I would also put the shot in the category "Daily Life". Thanks for sharing, Smrithi.
