Todays upload was taken at Passolohe fishing village in Liukangloe Island, Bulukumba - South Sulawesi Province. I thought a sunrise image may be in keeping with the dawn of a new year - let's hope it's a good one for everyone.

Setting: 80 mm, 1/400 sec, F16, ISO Raw 200, 0608 hrs, Polariser, GND filter and tripod mounted.

Such a fantastic sunrise photo to welcome the new year. The orange colours in the sky are amazing and I love the contrast with the large, dark clouds floating around the rising sun. The calm water reflects the sky so beautifully too. The boat is well included in the immediate foreground. Happy New Year!

Sunset for end of the 2017, and sunrise for the beginning of 2018, suitable choice. When someone to stay longer in bed, it is more difficult to make sunrise picture (specially in summer, in winter it is easy). Fantastic colours and clam atmosphere. Stunning beauty.

What a dramatic sunrise ! The cloud formation is incredible, a bit threatening actually, but the sun reflecting in the sea, to reach the peaceful boat is a peaceful omen I think.
