This old man certainly makes a good subject, and your choice of a low eyepoint to show his face and the close cropping of the image are both very good.
But I don't agree with the inclusion of the water bottle in the right side of the frame, it is not a part of the story that you want to tell, I find it rather disturbing. Apart from the water bottle, I find the background very good, it sets the scene without being intrusive, the man has his own part of the image frame clearly divided down the middle from the background.
Another point of critique is the bad colour balance, there is a strong green cast to the image, probably from fluorescent lightning.
So I'll stick with one point although it's a quite charming image.
I'll post a workshop with a couple of suggestions.
