Photographer's Note
This daily life scene reminded me a picture from some old Japanese book, or movie. By the way this photo was taken three weeks ago, no more, in Nara.
Nara was the capital of Japan from 710 to 794, lending its name to the Nara period.
The temples of Nara, known collectively as the Nanto Shichi Daiji, remained powerful even beyond the move of the political capital to Heian-kyō in 794, thus giving Nara a synonym of Nanto.
Today Nara is the capital city of Nara Prefecture located in the Kansai region of Japan. The city occupies the northern part of Nara Prefecture, bordering Kyoto Prefecture. Eight temples, shrines and ruins in Nara remain: specifically Tōdai-ji, Saidai-ji, Kōfuku-ji, Kasuga Shrine, Gangō-ji, Yakushi-ji, Tōshōdai-ji, and the Heijō Palace, together with Kasugayama Primeval Forest, collectively form "Historic Monuments of Ancient Nara", a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Hello Serghei,
You know how much I like this kind of photos of ordinary people in ordinary surroundings. This is the kind of Japanese daily life photos that our friend Kato used to take before he left the site. The man on the bike provides a superb foreground and behind him there is a long view of the narrow street among the wooden poles, trees, people and houses with tin roofs. It's very well snapped with fa nicely handled light.
Best wishes,
Gert

Hi Serghei
You are showing an interesting face of this Japanese city. A daily life scene of an ordinary neighborhood. That's good.

Hi Serghei, Very funny, but this Japanese guy on bike resembles a bit Jarosław Kaczynski, lol. Probably before elections I see JK everywhere.
Nice view form Nara, narrow street, some sakura flowers, simple but attractive, even the cables do not disturb.

Hello Serghei,
The elderly gentleman laboring on his bicycle to climb. The telephoto lens compresses the distant very effectively, allowing you to put more information into your shot. I like the vertical format very much, especially where there are hills. As always a surprise appearance from a distant land, where are you now, and where will you be next?
Warm regards, Serghei,
Bulent

Hey buddy,
How are you doing? I've enjoyed being able to follow along with your pictures from Japan that you've posted here. This is definitely one of my favorites, i love these types of "every day" scenes. So much authenticity and character outside of the usual and more popular tourist spots...although, I'm always a sucker for those too. :)
This tells a simple story of a local man going about his daily affairs, and I applaud him for still riding a bike...he's doing much better than myself. lol
Many details and a fun visual snapshot of a day in the life. Very well constructed and timed perfectly to capture this moment. Hope everything is going good on your side of the world. :) Take it easy. All the best.
Cheers from Phoenix,
Jason

Hi Serghei. Remove the words, the poles, the cars, modern buildings in the background and one could be back in time, especially if you sit the man on a horse or just have him walking. But, as it is, it still has the feel as if time stood still. I love Japan in how the old, ancient and new, modern sit side by side. Regards. Klaudio.

Hello Serghei,
I love the small lanes and every day life in Japanese towns. This photo reminds me of the times I stayed at friends' houses and enjoyed Japanese hospitality. The man riding towards you brings this scene to life.
It sounds like you will be back in NYC soon. Let's see if we can meet again.
:-)
