Photographer's Note

This was taken whilst going up the escalators to the Higashiyama sky Tower. This is probably the highest escalator I have ever seen that goes up. I mean I have heard of what goes up must come down, but the escalator is only up and no down (escator). If you want to come down you have to take the old fashioned way, yes by stairs. isnt that funny?

Better that it goes up than nothing. Think if it would go only down! Disquieting picture above all because I don't see anybody. You was lucky to come back without doing bad meetings! It could be the poster for a spy film

Well seen photo opportunity, Dan. You made a good perspective study here, as well as a good balance of the exposure. I think this has to be as darkish as it is. Good shot.

Very nicely framed. The light fixtures move very nicely out of the corner. The lines of the walls and escalator are shown nicely. It's also a very nice movement from the dark depths to light above. And the play of reflections, light and shadow all look good. Well done. And at least it's going up. Coming down is so much easier.

Nicely done. Nice note too, how high is this escalator? or rather how high does it go?

I like the light reflecting off the strairs and on the shiny roof above it.

Good use of linear perspective & vanishing point in the composition. There's supposed to be a very long escalator in HK {Ladder Street / Hollywood?}.

Interessante a atmosfera obtida com essa imagem, ela gera um sentimento estranho. Gosto dos reflexos nas paredes e das pequenas luzes no interior. Otimo trabalho.
