I took this photo during my trip to Thean Hou Temple. I know I should group them together with these photos
in TE.

Give me sometime to figure out how to group them if this is still possible in this stage.

This photo stays in my computer for sometime now as I am not sure what to say.
I took this shot because I am captivated by the carving in the middle. When I reached home and downloaded them into my computer, I noticed that the real branches by the side of the windows are quite similar in nature. Bamboo on the right and leafy plant on the left.
I am not sure if it was planned or just coincidence.
Somehow I feel there is a message behind this.

This photo is in its original form. Just apply some sharpening and resize for TE.
Please give me your critiques and comments or message you manage to get.

Hi Chai,
I like really the gold colours between the black background, also the red colour together with the green leaves, excellent pattern, good composition, I enjoy for looking.

Hi Chai
This unique and well-color window is a good photography subject.
But the problem is, how to captured into such photo that could speak for itself and at the glance of it, it's a good shot.
Let me put in my opinion.
1. the subject itself is too cramped into the picture. try to give allowance to it.
2. the bamboo and tree are a good supporting subject, but i think if you could have it window panel opened partially instead. this would give a different look.
3. finally, the angle. try to use different angle to study the outcome of this window.
i think the direct eye-level angle is too normal for such normal subject. you need to put in artistic and creative angle to normal subject.
Okay, the execution ;-
try to put tha angle from the bottom, not too low and further to the right. have the two panel partial opened. allow the bamboo and tree into the picture.
i assume thi will give you a different and more improved version.

Nice idea. Id try to even out the width of the upper and lower background to make it more even. What I like is how the trees on the door melt with the real trees and form an organic whole.
