Nagore dargha sheriff, at Chulia street within Georgetown's Unesco World Heritage Site, is the oldest Indian Muslim shrine on Penang Island. Built in the early 1800s, it is dedicated to Syed Shahul Hamid, a 13th century Muslim saint of Nagore, India. It is also one of the two Indian Muslim shrines built in the saint's memory in southeast Asia, the other being the Nagore durgha shrine in Singapore. Within Georgetown, it is one of the few remaining specimens of early 19th century south Indian Muslim architecture. Located at the junction between Chulia street and King street, the shrine also contains a short arcade lined with shops selling jewellery. Source : https://penang.fandom.com/wiki/
