Gasing, a photo from Terengganu, West

'Gasing' was a tradisional game among the villagers especially the people that stay in east cost of peninsular Malaysia (Terengganu/Kelantan).This picture was taken in Terengganu in july 2006.The old people watch the young playing gasing.Last time the old people was a great gasing player also.

Hi Mahathir. I just found this shot while checking out the uncritiqued pictures. Good composition with the player in action (good timing) in the front and the public watching attentively in the back. The shot might need some sharpening and colors look a bit pale. However, it is also a shot in the spirit of TrekEarth as it teaches us something new about the country portrayed. Hi Mahathir,

I always thought of such an image whereby you can shot a fast moving object and keep the still subject sharp. It is a difficult shot but you did well.
