Photographer's Note
From Amarapura, the famous bridge of U Bein. A peaceful place where whe can see this intact land. When I was there, I forget the time.
(Not exactly the same pattern in this repost; same place few minutes later. We can see better the mist here.)

Great mood here! The tones you chose are beautiful. I particulary like the silhouettes and reflections. The mist in distance adds a lot to the mood. A great capture.

this picture invites to a comfortable silence and contemplation, Pascal.
this image begs to be turned to sepia...
everything is peaceful: the guys on the left are just stand (fishing?) the boat seems to go veeeeeeeeeeeery slowly... the wind doesn´t blow. (in my mind) one can hear only a bird singuing... or a dog barking and the sound of the oar in the water... someone laughs...
fantastic. my experience looking to this picture is far more related to my ears than to my eyes...

The way the sharp foreground just melts into the distance at the horizon is magical. Your sepia treatment suits this one superbly.

Hi Pascal, I'm very pleased to have discovered this photo through the TE home page. It's absolutely beautiful. The composition - with the combination of the river bend and figures - is perfect. So are the exposure and the toning. Wonderful. And I'll make it a favourite of mine too. Stephen

What a peaceful, calm and quiet mood you have captured in this landscape! Excellent composition - the two man at the lower left corner creates a nice balance with the tree at the right. Great depth and tones. Thanks for sharing.

From the dead tree to the mist in the background to the wonderful variations in contrast this picture has it all, the only thing is I wish there was a little more space on the right side of the tree but still it makes a perfect picture.

Hello Pascal,
This is exotic, calm, moody, serene, minimalist, artistic and poetic. Choice of sepia, horizontal framing, silhouettes and mist is great. The cottages, dead tree, boat, boat passangers, figures in water look just like placed in exact places for a motion picture setting. Excellent atmosphere! Bravo.

The atmosphere invites to a long contemplation. The tree adds a very dramatic element of sharp lines superimposed to the soft landscape on the background. This picture gives me a great visual delight!!!

Bonsoir Pascal,
this is great photography. Side ratio, boat, leafless tree, the reflections on the water and the conversion into sepia (or something similar) leave no more open wishes. Well done!
