Photographer's Note
back to my FAVOURITE country
this one if for SAMION who loves urban facades etc. this not an unrban setting , but does have a wall in it :)
this building is a silk factory in inle lake. yes we were on water . this entire place is on stilts. it had been pouring the whole day and had stopped raining a little before i took the photograph. for me this is the perfect light to shoot in , since the colours are not bright, but deep and rich. this was taken with a 17 mm lens
my other "windows" are in the theme "windows of the world"

nice image Sorhab.. I like those wooden Myanmar houses.. The blue of the stait and the balustrade gives us a nice touch of color , and the two girls the last good thing about it.
but my favorite country isn't the same:)
It's my second favorite....

Nice picture. Indeed the colors are great. I am curious where the stair goes in the middle picture below. To the lady on the right above? Enough to think about. Well done, Eugene

now , I see colored photo from you...must be the mood...plus the the images of two ladies from the window , seems giving them perfect frame, every window here is telling a story...but the lady at the left side looks like a ghost appearing on day time...lol...overall superb idea! ***Flo

interesting, vivid and "harsh" colours make this pic really eye-catching

Wonderful colour and contrast. The faces in the top windows make this superb.

velvia? maybe a little under on the fstop. but nice tones. I agree, like Cuba, it's a place lost in time; but that will change...

:-))
fabulous picture. i like the expression on the face of women that is keeping her eye on you. she is knid of saying "what the heck .. why is he taking a picture of a a building?"
the chances to see an open window these days in oregon is very rare (it's cold).
couldn't you post a bigger picture ?
take care.

Didn't see this at first... and when I did I was suprised to see it was one of yours. Why? I suppose because this pic is all about colour (red, orange, yellow), whereas your recent b/w posts have been more about form. Not a criticism - I like them all. Perhaps the woman in the top left window seems more your normal style. Good stuff!

I love how all your color photos have such a rich warm tone to them, your B&W's are the same (maybe not warm) but there is just something about them that makes them stand out compared to the rest...Maybe it has something to do with that stuff you use...what's it called? ummmmm "FILM"? or something? Yes, that's it..."FILM" ;) You just have a way with that wonderful ancient photographer's tool I hear so much about from you old people hehe. I was wondering if you know what that medieval torture device looking object in the bottom right window is? It sure is nice of you to put all that extra effort into adding frames in your spare time nowadays :) Take care,
~Stacey :D

I like the 2 faces in the upper windows. This shot reminds me of the album cover for Led Zeppelins 'Physical Graffiti'

Very good Picture SOhrab. I was not so sure at first, but there's eventually a lot in this one. beyong these colors, the girls coming out of the window, and especially on the top left are a real plus. Very well done.
