Photographer's Note
Getting to Gwa entails quite a journey either 10 hours over rolling hills from Yangon or for the car sick people like me the easier way of flying to Thandwe and then 4 hours along a winding but not sickening coastal route. You also need a permit as it is in Rakhine State but that's pretty easy to obtain. Once there it's wonderful, Pure Burma.
The lively morning market in Gwa township last from 6am - 11am. Many small thatched stalls selling an array of fish, vegetables, and meat with the center of the market housing the Mohinga stalls. All around a pervasive smell of dried fish and fresh flowers.

Hello Elaine,
You managed to capture a sense of market rush thanks to the lady with the child. She seems to have been in a hurry, or at least her right leg gives us that impression. Along with the two persons walking towards the left side she also helps to fill the frame nicely.
Regards,
Gert

Hello Elaine,
Your words help us to understand the location, whilst your photograph captures a very accurate atmosphere of a busy market, where food is bought and consumed.
For a photograph which captures such obvious movement, your photograph is pin-sharp, showing virtually no movement blur.
I am curious, the two focal women are both wearing similar, checked shirts. Is this just a co-incidence or a common fashion trend?
Keep safe,
Bev :-)

Elaine, the lady with the baby are well included on the left. This market was busy that day. The b&w version addds an idea of the past but i prefer a color photo.
Good sharpness, absorbing photo note, regards.

Hello Elaine,
Remarkable that the women are dressed traditionally and the man is wearing a jogging outfit.
Excellent capture of a authentic daily life scene .

A very good reportage photo, it is similar to the analog photos from 60s of the 20th century, well presented

Hello Elaine, When I went to the Rakhine State any permissions were not necessary. This state was the most interesting for me. Nice scene from the market. Interesting composition with this woman with a kid. Is she a mother or a grandma? Difficult to say
Take care

Hi Elaine
Good street scene with the opposite ladies having the same dress, maybe they are crossed!
