Photographer's Note
i just used the "unsharp mask" feature and added a border
while i was trekking in the hills alongside inle lake with some friends i made over there, we came across lots of villages, some of them just comprising 4-5 huts. there was this one particular which caught my eye because of it's colour pattern . it was about 8-10 metres away from the trail we were . the area of the window must have been just a little more than 1 square ft.
and out of the window i saw 2 tiny eyes peering at me.there was this kid maybe about 2-3 years old who was trying to hide and look at the giant( meeeeee) outside.
windows caught my attention all over this country. people just love windows and windows come in all sizes and people love to look out of the windows. infact quite often you can catch some extremely funny sights of full grown adults trying to push their heads out of windows half the size of this one to have a look at the visitors.

This is great!
I love the simple and graphical composition and the little child spioning at you! Great timing.
Excellent colours and idea.
Well done.

This is of course not a shot one can prepare, as just a little more "eyes" would have brought a tad more presence next to the rectangles. It (quick shoot)also prevented you, perhaps, from getting a lighting more equal between top and bottom, a bit glaring.

I like the idea behind this image.. Only wish I could see a bit more of the eyes..Still, nice composition.

what an interesting facade ? construction ? it looks like woven, some kind of leaves ? bark ?..looks beautiful :).I liked the kid half seen too..it really gives the feeling that she was hiding from you..
I guess I did not see the inital post, this looks very good..

I missed the original version so I'll gladly say here that I just love this picture!
Such a great composition with the clear and brown lines very well put into the picture, and those little hands and almost eyes peeking at the window. Such a lucky shot! I don't mind at all the difference of light between top and bottom, it is clear there is a rooftop over the boy.
Good job with the PP too, I guess you solved your problem!

Cute shot Sohrab...Nice composition. It would be nice to see a photo of those adults trying to squeeze their heads out these windows :)

NIce composition. The colors are so monochromatic, I think it would nicer in b/w, w/ duotones. Have you tried that? I haven't used the workshop, so I'm not sure how to experiment myself. What a catch. Too bad you didn't get more of this catchlights, but he probably was standing on tip-toes anyways.

Like Claude, I also appreciate the general idea, but for me that shot smells, feels and looks like BW. Sometimes a hand is as good as the eyes, but the downsides might be mostly due to the angle and to your too important distance to your subject.
BW's very powerful for nipa walls texture rendition, better I think than RGB.

Beautiful pattern and texture here! I like how you frame this place with the little window and the capture of this little boy trying to see outside.
I made a workshop, I hope you'll like it!
