Photographer's Note
Ok, have you considered having 130% of your body mass on your back as you climb uphill at altitude?
After seeing such things as:
- 8 cases of beer, with multiple 1 liter bottles of Coke
- two 20kg bags of rice, with a 30kg bag for good measure
- 8 sheets of 4'x8'x0.75" plywood
Each being carried by one person.
I had to "ask how is that even possible?". My daypack weighed about 10kg...
Sherpas are awesome!
This day (our second to last trekking)we saw MANY porters carrying much stuff UP and little if nothing DOWN the mountain. I had to ask where the trash was ending up.

the composition is good, these porters must really be tough for them to carry that heavy a load, considering how thin the air is up there. Thanks for the info, someday i hope to trek in nepal as well. regards.
