Photographer's Note
The last of the evening light hits the mountain tops as I peer down the steep slopes of Gokyo Ri towards the small village of Gokyo, just before I begin the trudge down in the dark with only my headtorch for company. In the Khumbu Himal, Eastern Nepal.
The picture is an accurate reflection of the light at the time. Soon after this it was vey dark as this picture shows the fading light just hitting the tops a few minutes before it was pitch dark.

Nice shot of the mountain tops. Too bad the foreground is so dark. Good composition.

It's a pity indeed that the foreground is so dark, but the mountain's top and the clouds form is great. Good job.

incredible image. reflects well the twilight time in the snow. the light has been captured perfectly highlight the beautiful peaks also. wanted to suggest a crop to highlight the mountains more but hopefully not interfer with the vastness felt in this image.

This is a great pic. I really like the foreground to be that dark. It makes the rear shiny peaks stand out more. Truly exciting contrast! Maybe it could do with some cropping, taking a bit off the lower part of the pic.

I also like the dark foreground here. The contrast between it and the tops of the mountains where the sun is still shining is striking. To me, it is this contrast in lighting that makes this such a beautiful composition.
