Photographer's Note
It was very easy to get into the local monastery. Although the door was locked our guide found the key nearby and opened it. The monk was very busy. I met him on the mountain path before dawn. He said that if I wish to visit his place I could ask locals to open the monastery. I asked the owner of the lodge where we stayed and he and his little doughter accompanied me to the gompa. The man stayed outside but the girl was flabbergasted by the big tambourine. After I watched whatever I could I left some donation under the altar and was ready to leave.
The girl was still watching the big tambourine...

What?! You haven't got any comments yet for this beautiful shot? It is superb, Sergey, very nice dark and light contrasts. ANd the little girl under the tambourine, so transfixed, is adorable. A very nice work!

Bonjour Sergey,
Great black and white shot!
The light is wonderful and the girl is perfectly placed. She seems effectively fascinated by this big drum and we understand why by imagining the colored drawings which have to cover it.
The black and the white brings a little bit mysterious atmosphere in accordance with the discovery of this place by the child.
Congratulations and best regards
Diane
